Spend two exciting days exploring the elements involved in a musical theatre production under the tuition of an experienced team of educators and industry professionals. The workshop will end in a performance for family and friends, showcasing the work achieved by students over the two-day experience!
Over the past two workshops we have followed the stories of two strong young ladies named Belle and Matilda! This year we’re heading over the rainbow with Dorothy, Glinda and Elphaba, so if you can’t get enough of singing, dancing & acting, and love musicals like Wicked and the Wizard of Oz… this is definitely for you!

OUR TEAM Sarah Furnari - Creative Director / Acting Coach Sarah studied dance, singing and acting from a young age, and went on to study Acting & Performance at the University of Wollongong where she was awarded the Creative Arts Scholarship. Sarah has toured rural and metropolitan Australia with GIBBER theatre company and is a founding member of Short Poppy Theatre. She is extremely passionate about the arts, education, and empowering young people and has taught and directed children and adults with with studios, schools and camps in Australia and the USA. Sarah is thrilled to return to direct this year's MTE workshop for its third action-packed year!
Laura Jackson - Musical Director / Vocal Coach Laura is currently in her final year of a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Acting) at the prestigious National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA). Laura also holds a Bachelor of Performance from the University of Wollongong, a Masters in Creative Arts (Creative Writing) and a Graduate Diploma of Education. Laura is a singer, actor, writer and teacher. She has been a singing and drama teacher for over 10 years, working with the Australian Girls Choir, and various schools and studios around Sydney and Wollongong. Laura has a great passion for Musical Theatre, having founded her own music theatre company for young aspiring professionals and performed in numerous community musicals.
